The Covid 19 pandemic has made us look at things in new ways, including the way we make and present art.  We’re mad (as in crazy) and we have a lab (as in an experimental work space,) so: You Are Here is looking for artists who are interested in becoming part of our upcoming MAD*LAB (Make Art, Dammit!—or Dangit!)

In September, we will be temporarily turning our gallery into a maker space.  We have created  a menu of community/public/guerilla art projects to enliven and animate the City of Jeannette and surrounding area. Our goal is to recruit 20 artists to cooperate and collaborate on making them real.  Artists need only come for as little as two hours, but more if they are so inclined. Either way, we will love you forever. We will schedule participation so as to insure social distancing (no more than four persons in the space at any given time.)  Most scheduled hours will be on Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

All artists get a You Are Here MAD*LAB t-shirt that reads “Let’s change ‘normal.” and public credit for their participation.
