Amigurumi (Japanese: 編みぐるみ, lit. "crocheted or knitted stuffed toy") is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures.
Join the Tina Frye, the wizard whose wand is a crochet hook, to learn the basics of the art of amigurumi crochet. Tina is a Jeannette artist known for her finely crafted creations that include functional items as well as these whimsical soft sculptures.
This two session workshop (Saturdays November 2 and 9 from 11 AM until 1 PM) will cover all the basics for learners to gain a solid foundation in amigurumi. Week one will cover hands-on learning. For week two, learners will bring the projects they have worked on during the week for a session of troubleshooting and discussion as well as more hands-on work.
Workshop fee of $50 includes all tools and supplies.
