Merry Christmas, Happy Yule and Happy Holidays!

The last couple of weeks I have been sewing these cute little red drawstring bags as gifts for some of my friends. Along with making salt dough ornaments for the first time with my friend Shannon. She made the cutest little hand and footprints of her daughter with her dough! Ugh my heart, I love it.

Anyway, the link below is the tutorial I followed to make the bags. I think they turned out really cute, looking like little ornaments when tied shut! Feeling really festive this year that’s for sure.

I forgot to take pictures of the finished ornaments (was finishing them stressfully close to the day of gift-giving - whoops) before giving them to their recipients. Just imagine fantasy landscapes from Dungeons and Dragons … because they were for my Dungeons and Dragons group…

Merry Critmas! *roll that nat 20*

Nerdy gifts aside, it was really nice making handmade gifts this year plus making fabric wrapping rather than getting boxes and wrapping paper. Bonus, totally can use those as dice bags or something.

What are some things you like to make as gifts? Because sometimes I just want to give a bunch of gifts, but can’t afford to buy a lot for everyone on my list. This was a fun in between. The overall cost was quite low since the red fabric was an old bed sheet and the dough is literally flour, salt, and water. The only things I bought were ribbons and a couple of little bottles of paint.

I hope your holiday and winter season is lovely! Whether your family was able to get together or not, I hope you got to chat and send your love <3

Warmest of Wishes to you and yours,
JB
